摘要: 本研究主要在於探討臺灣各縣市的犯罪率對其生育率的影響,本研究利用2000至2017年共18年臺灣20個縣市的追蹤資料進行分析。經過多個檢定方法的檢定結果顯示,二元固定效果模型是最佳的實證模型,且本研究的實證模型中所包含的解釋變數之間並沒有共線性的問題。本研究的主要研究結果如下:首先犯罪率在統計上確實對臺灣各縣市的生育率具有負向的影響。也就是說,一地區的犯罪率上升,確實會導致該地的生育率下降。其次,結婚率、扶養比在統計上確實對生育率具有正向的影響。但是,女性勞動參與率則在統計上對其生育率具有負向的影響。以上的研究發現皆與本研究的預期結果相符。本研究根據上述的研究結論建議,政府主要的方向應該是讓父母在職場與家庭之間能夠找到平衡,改善勞動職場條件,打造友善女性的工作環境及勞動條件;在社會政策領域,健全社福體制,提供育兒補助、提高公托公幼容量,減輕家長育兒負擔,將是迫切的項目。如此,將可能可以鼓勵生育以減緩少子化與人口老化所可能帶來的經濟與社會問題。
