題名: A Synthetic Analysis of the Effectiveness of Single components and Packages in Creativity Training Programs

摘要: This study used the method of meta-analysis to synthesize the effect of creativity training. The ProQuest Educational Journal, ProQuest Dissertation Consortium, ERIC, EBSCOhost Databases, the Creativity Research Journal, and the Journal of Creativity Behavior were searched to find studies evaluating the effectiveness of creativity training. The grand mean effect size of creativity training was .77. With the exception of training programs and age, no significance was found in the effect of moderators such as dependent variables, duration of training, and experimental design. The results further showed that the older the age of the participant, the larger the effect size, with the exception that the effect size for college students was smaller than that for high school students because of the large standard deviation. Experimental analysis of the effect of single techniques or components of training packages is suggested for future research.
