| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | Over a century ago, Charles Ammi Cutter formulated functions of the library catalog as finding, gathering, and identifying bibliographic information. This formulation is still cited by library communities around the world even though the technology has made great impacts on the updating of cataloging rules. This paper attempts to find out that if, in the highly computerized library environment, the functions of catalog formulated by Cutter are still suitable for library and what kind of roles that the catalog would play. | - |
