This article is divided into five main parts: to introduce the basic concepts of Humanistic Geography, to explore the thought of being-in-the-world, to interpret the meaning of Existential Space, to show the research approach of Existential Space based on the historical context of culture, and to reflect on the field of traditional planning. This article just shows that the approach of Humanistic Geography based on the interpretation of Existential Space can not only explore the placeness but also provide a new thought to the field of traditional planning.
