題名: | Taiwan and the World Health Organization: Good Health for All or Some? | 作者: | Hickey, Dennis V. | 關鍵詞: | Taiwan;international organizations;World Health Organization (WHO);China;health | 日期: | Sep-2000 | 上傳時間: | 5-Oct-2016 | 摘要: | This study examines Taiwan`s drive to gain a voice in the most important global institution related to public health-the World Health Organization (WHO). The article provides a general outline of Taiwan is participation in international organizations, explores several considerations that have led Taiwan to seek membership in the WHO, and discusses the obstacles Taipei must overcome in order to gain admission to the WHO. The paper suggests that, while the impediments confronting this movement are formidable, Taiwan and the international community should accelerate efforts in support of Taipei`s application for observer status in the WHO. | 關聯: | Issues & Studies,36(5),41-60 | 資料類型: | article |
