dc.description.abstract	有識見的史學家，能寫出一部柔美的歷史。如果矯正傳統史學家的缺失，少為戰爭煊染，少在帝王卿相、英雄豪傑身上著筆墨，而多寫歷史元氣所在的人群，寫其生活，寫其演進，寫其純樸善良的一面，那麼歷史的柔美便呈現了。多選擇文明事項，而儘量避開事件的歷史(event history)，是能寫成柔美歷史的另一途徑。文明事項，其要者如思想的精華，文學、科學、藝術的成就皆是，這一些進入歷史的叢林，歷史自森然茂然，而柔美盡現。
