dc.description.abstractThis paper is divided into three parts. First, it aims to probe into the significant relevance of Walter Benjamin’s translation theory to contemporary literary and cultural theories. Second it attempts to give a comparative survey of critical responses to Benjamin’s translation theory in the Taiwan academia. Third, it seeks to explore the potential effects and influences of Benjamin’s translation theory on contemporary literary and cultural studies in Taiwan.
