In a society that promotes the free flow of people and ideas, a translator’s work is essential, even indispensable. As to language skills, it is simply of the utmost importance. But what exactly is the task (influence) of a translator? It is certainly the differences that the translator makes in the translation from the source language to the target language. Is that bilingualism? Is his/her dexterity ought to merely reproduce a text, or to approach the original substantially? Can he make his/her genuine work from the original one? Why does (s)he choose to do this? Is he taking the style into consideration? Is he interpreting in his own feelings, words, white and silences in the translation? Our presentation focuses on the meaning that is transposed from the source language to the target language: restitution and changes or loss and sustainability.
