Therefore, it is essential that biodiverse rich countries work on eliminating the ghosts surrounding bioprospecting. In this regard, it is important to make a clear distinction between bioprospecting and biopiracy. Furthermore, it is fundamental to highlight the benefits and value of bioprospecting for innovation and the generation of new products in fields such as health, food, cosmetics, biotechnology, etc. In this way, biodiversity rich would be able to promote bioprospecting as a key element for innovation and development. |
