摘要: 本文欲以日本殖民統治時期臺灣與朝鮮的情慾消費文化場域,作為兩國殖民歷史比較論述的「第三空間」,期望突破過往壓迫與反抗的二元對立論述脈絡,建構出新的殖民地對照系譜,進而闡釋兩國遲到的歷史文化相遇。\n\n情慾消費文化業女性從業者一直以來被定位為隱晦、不堪且低俗的從屬階級,歷史經常忽略她們的存在且極少給予她們公正的評價。本文欲爬梳整理臺灣、朝鮮情慾消費文化業相關的第一手文獻及研究資料,藉由歸納與演繹的研究方法,分析當代大眾印刷物中所刊載的文本,並加入理論詮釋其社會文化意涵,在考慮場域生成的政治社會背景和歷史文化慣習之下,探究情慾消費文化業女性從業者所在的場域當中各種權力板塊的拉扯與運作模式。其次,藉由分析兩國大眾印刷物(一種異質情慾消費文化場域)中所刊載的情慾消費文化業女體圖像,以凝視、身體、符碼的概念出發,探究這些女性從業者們被規訓的身體是在何種權力運作之下被轉換成符碼形成公開的文本,並闡釋女體圖像所包含的社會文化意涵。最後,分析當代男性知識份子的情慾文化書寫,以及情慾消費文化業女性從業者的自我書寫,藉由聆聽當時情慾消費文化場域中兩大族群的聲音加以貼近真實的歷史現場,並將情慾消費文化業女性從業者重新放回歷史的舞台上。\n\n在特殊歷史背景之下所形成的情慾消費文化共生圈中,包含著各種權力的算計與周旋,情慾消費文化業女性從業者總是被迫在重層的權力板塊間尋求生存,表面上她們看似是身不自主的底層階級,實際上反倒是當時一群擁有自主權的文化資本階層。本文試圖以文化與社會資本的視角闡釋這群特殊職業女性族群的存在意義,期望透過曾經只能處於歷史邊緣的她們,在日本殖民統治時期臺灣與朝鮮的文化比較研究上,開展出一個新的嘗試。
This study regarded the cultural field of erotic consumption in Taiwan and Joseon as the “Third Space” during the Japanese colonial period as the means for comparing colonial history between these two countries. The study objective was to break through the oppressive, resistant narrative of binary opposition to establish a novel genealogy for colonial comparison, expounding on the delayed historic and cultural encounter between these two countries.\n\nFemale workers in the sex industry have long been positioned as obscure, unscrupulous, and vulgar. History often ignores their existence and rarely evaluates them fairly. This study analyzed and compiled firsthand literature and research materials related to erotic consumption culture in Taiwan and Joseon. Using induction and deduction, this study analyzed texts published in contemporary print media to provide theoretical interpretations of social and cultural implications. Considering the sociopolitical background and cultural–historical customs in which this cultural sector was generated, this study explored the rivalry and operation of power blocs where female workers were involved in erotic consumption. Consequently, female body images published in print media from the erotic consumption culture of the two countries (heterogeneous cultural domains of erotic consumption) were analyzed. Based on the concepts of gaze, body, and code, this study investigated the creation of codes by a disciplined group of female workers to form an open text under power operation. Additionally, the sociocultural implications of the female body images were analyzed. Finally, this study analyzed the writing of contemporary male intellectuals concerning erotic culture and of female workers engaging in sex industry. Acquiring the voices of the two major groups in this domain enabled this study to revisit relevant historic scenes while reintroducing the women within the sex industry to history.\n\nDeveloped in a unique historical background, the symbiotic circle of erotic consumption culture contains rivalry among various powers. Female workers were constantly forced to survive among layers of power blocs. On the surface, these women appeared lower class, but in fact, they possessed a social status with autonomy and cultural capital. This study discussed the existence of this unique group of businesswomen from the perspectives of culture and social capital. After investigating these female workers, who were scarcely acknowledged by history, this study presented a novel comparison of the culture between Taiwan and Joseon during the Japanese colonial period.
