In this post-Cold War era, the international political situation has yet to be formed. Peking`s (Beijing`s) Taiwan policy-aimed at readjusting the organizations and personnel in charge of the policy, insisting on the ``one country, two systems`` formula, promoting cross-Strait economic exchange and trade development, blocking the ROC`s international activities, and continuing the strategy of combining the advocation of a ``peaceful unification`` with the reiteration of military force-has been more or less affected by the unstable political environment.en_US
