改革開放以來大陸宗教之發展

Abstract

宗教可以寬到包含一切神秘思想和民俗信仰，也可以窄到僅討論合法宗教，本文傾向以狹義定義宗教，第一節與第二節介紹中國主要宗教發展；第三節以民間信仰流傳做為補充；第四節介紹五四運動對傳統宗教的批判，知識份子中西化派和共產派聯手反對宗教；第五節鳥瞰三十年代各派宗教在大陸的發展；第六節敘述各派宗教在海外的發展；以上各節主要採用歷史研究法，從歷史變遷的角度來研究中國宗教的過去、現在與未來。第七節以下兼採用歷史研究法和政策研究法，中共插手大陸宗教事務太深(大陸宗教發展和變遷、其實繫於中共的宗教政策)，必須徵引法規政令、黨內文件、領導講話以明大陸宗教政策。第八節討論中共建國之初的宗教政策和宗教現況；第九節討論文化大革命時期的宗教政策和宗教現況；第十節討論開放改革時期的宗教政策和宗教現況；第十一節為結論。

This paper analyzes the PRC`s policy toward religious groups since 1978. It will first depict the general thrust of the policy, then describe development of religious freedom in mainland China in the early years of the current reform. The PRC`s use of its religious policy as a ”united front” tactic in the international community will also be addressed. Finally, the paper will discuss the exchange of religious activities across the Taiwan Strait, followed by a conclusion. Data and methodology used in this article support the conclusion.
