摘要: 大眾文化是後現代社會一個重要的現象,我們從牛仔褲、流行音樂、KTV等的受歡迎,便可以略窺一二。其對圖書館服務的影響則反映在小說的受歡迎、對權威作品之信仰的解構、漫畫進駐大學圖書館等。因此,本文針對大眾文化的定義、起源、內涵、特徵,及大眾文化在社會上獲得的肯定和批評,以期對大眾文化有更深入的認識,圖書館服務也才能真正滿足大眾的需求。
Mass culture is an important phenomenon in post-modern society, it is reflected on jeans, popular music, KTV et al. It also influences library services, such as heavy circulation of novels, the deconstruction of canons and the emergence of comics in university library. This article depicts the definition, origin, contents, character of mass culture, and its impacts on library and information services.
