東山彰良『僕が殺した人と僕を殺した人』論－「僕」の可能性と合わせ鏡での成長

Abstract

第153回直木賞を受賞した台湾籍の東山彰良（本名王震緒）は、その後、第11回中央公論文芸賞の受賞作『罪の終わり』（2016.5）で、極限状態における食人問題の議論を展開した。その議論を受け継ぎ、『僕が殺した人と僕を殺した人』（2017.5）では、殺人を通して「少年たちはいかに成長したか」を描いた。舞台は『流』の葉一族と時空間の隣接する1984年の台湾と2016年のアメリカで、戦後、国民党と共に台湾に渡ってきた外省人の少年たちの友情と運命の物語である。行動を共にする登場人物の視点の近似性による視点人物一人称「ぼく」．「わたし」の重層性と曖昧性、叙述の時間軸が何度も前後にぶれるプロットなどの技法など、ミステリとしての謎解きの仕組みを、小論ではまず物語論によって解明する。それに基づくと、タイトルにある「僕」はいったい誰か、そして「殺した」とはどういう意味かが大きな問題になってくる。そこでは、同性愛者、障害者の各種のマイノリティがネガとなり、ポジとしてのマジョリティと合せ鏡と化す。そこから相対的な自立を見出そうとする少年たちの葛藤とを重ねて究明する。

第153屆直木獎台籍得主東山彰良（本名王震緒），其後以獲得第11屆中央光論文藝獎的得獎之作《罪惡的終點》（2016.5），展開了對糧食短缺的極限狀態下的吃人問題之探究。再者，承繼這個主題，《我殺的人和殺我的人》（2017.5）則透過殺人事件，描繪少年如何成長。作品舞台與直木獎得獎之作《流》的葉氏一族所處的時間空間相鄰接，是在1984年的台灣和2016年的美國所上演的少年們的友情與命運的故事。由於登場人物經常一起行動，導致視點相近，因此視點人物「我」的解讀帶有多重性和曖昧性，並且情節的敘事時間軸經過多次前後游移。這些懸疑小說的解謎機制如何引人入勝，拙論將以敘事學及心理學的理論來闡明。據此並更進一步探究，究竟書名上的「我」是誰？而「殺」的含意又如何？上述的問題意識，拙論將闡明同性戀、身心障礙者等弱勢族群與強勢族群，兩者形成對照鏡式的對比，並加以探究少年們從中追求自立的心理。｜Akira Higashiyama, whose original name is WANG, JHEN-SYU (王震緒), described murder and death penalty in his new work ＂The One Whom I Killed and the One Who Killed Me(May 2017)＂ the background of this work is in close proximity to the time and space in which the Ye`s lived in the work ＂Ryu＂. Both are stories about friendship and destiny of the youths in Taiwan 1984 and America 2016. Because the figures usually act together, their viewpoints are quite similar. As a result, ＂I＂ in the novel is of multiplicity and ambiguity; in addition, the timeline of plots went through forward and backward sways several times. This study tries to illustrate the mystery-solving system of the suspense novel with narratology and psychology. Based on the theories, who is ＂I＂ from the book title? What is the implication of ＂kill＂? They deserve to be studied deeply. I will deal with the questions above from the viewpoint of human rights, such as homosexuality and disabled, and from the mindset of youths who pursues independence.
