With the rise in popularity of social media, it has a profound impact on how political candidates can reach out electorate, and can effectively use as a major campaign strategy. Building a successful social media campaigns has become a new trend around the world. This research based on the case of President Tsai Ing-Wen’s social media strategy standing for re-election in the 2020 Taiwanese presidential election. The research analyzes how politicians collaborate with youtubers and how the change of media influences election campaigns.\nThe research cites Joosse’s theory of charismatic counter-roles to observe President Tsai Ing-Wen’s social media strategy that shapes Tsai as a cat-lover, and a kind woman who can hit on to attract devoted followers, unworthy challengers, and colossal players. Moreover, it indicates how Tsai’s team uses a non-typical anti-narrative social media strategy to take lead in online poll and sweep to victory with more than 8.17 million votes.\nBesides, the study confirms that the internet celebrities (known as YouTubers) can customize content benefits how politicians soften their public images and precisely target the audience. LINE Official Account can create groups and chat with friends in one-on-one or chat groups to exert a strong effect on mobilization with online and offline groups.
