Copies are legion and there is a growing success for these fake products, no matter where. However, Asia is particularly affected. Indeed, China is undoubtedly the workshop of fakes and Hong Kong an important transit zone for products, before they reach their final destination, such as Taiwan. This will be an in-depth examination of the region through a comparison of the phenomenon in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Counterfeiting is a global problem, both in terms of actors, levels of action and policies; it is therefore essential to examine the different strategies developed by these different parties in the fight against counterfeiting in order to consider the possible alternatives for a better understanding of the issue.\nWe will propose here a holistic approach to the phenomenon and the policies to be put in place, as well as a study of the European case as a basis for approaching these strategies.
