Singers do creative works such as songs, live performances and so on. However, most of the works produced are for the purpose of making singers more stunning, and accumulating prestige assets, maintaining or expanding their influence.\nSigners are affective laborers, who do lots of affective works to different people they meet on various work environment. This study adopts field research and in-depth interview with six different singer-songwriters from distinct backgrounds, focusing on their behaviors and emotions when they do affective work to team members, media practitioners and their fans.\nThe study finds out that during music preparatory period, independent singers count on interpersonal interaction in production, but worrying that their works could not meet own expectations. Contract singers are struggling between the marketing strategies and their personal images. On the stage of promotion, singers have to cater to media logic to produce punch lines which they don’t like. Comparing different working fields, the radio interview is warmer and comfortable for singers than press event and TV show.\nAs to social media, it brings limitless time-and-place affective works. Singers have to manage these platforms with different kinds of skills to sell their feelings, so they can obtain the prestige assets or give fans their love and vice versa to make it become a positive love-oriented circulation, similar to an organic circle. However, the full-time affective work in social media result in stress, including authentic conflicts, emotional burdens and comparing mindsets.
