zh_TW
In recent years, due to global warming, renewable energy has gradually been attached importance to various countries. Since 1980, countries around the world have invested a lot of resources in research and development of solar energy. This research investigates the technological catch-up strategy in the solar cell industry. The patents owned by solar cell firms are utilized to compute the main components formed in the patent citation networks of solar cell patents. We find that if the developer chooses to cooperate with institutions that have commanded the core technology in the past, the cooperative patents produced will be able to command the core technologies in the industry. Specifically, international collaboration also helps the core technology development by achieving successful technological catch-up.en_US
