摘要: 本研究旨在描述應用廣泛閱讀策略於國小學童的英語閱讀活動,探討其對於學生的閱讀動機、閱讀頻率及態度之影響。本研究對象為桃園市27位國小二年級學童,在為期8週的研究中,每週兩次於晨間時光進行一次25分鐘的英語廣泛閱讀活動。研究者透過廣泛閱讀的引導活動,引導學童循序漸進地閱讀英語課外書。\n本研究採取混合研究方式,透過問卷、閱讀紀錄本、訪談資料及家長回饋單等方式進行量化及質性資料分析。本研究結果摘要如下:\n一、廣泛閱讀活動對於學童在英語閱讀動機上為正向影響,學童願意進行英語閱讀的平均值皆有提升。\n二、實施廣泛閱讀活動後,學童在閱讀英語課外書的時間、次數有明顯提升;學童到圖書館閱讀英語課外書的次數則沒有顯著影響。\n三、廣泛閱讀活動對於學童閱讀英語課外書態度有些微正向影響。\n四、全數學童願意繼續參與英語廣泛閱讀活動。\n五、全數家長肯定未來讓孩子繼續參與英語廣泛閱讀活動。\n根據研究結果,本研究建議學校圖書館和教師可以合作建立圖書館的英文書籍分級系統,並且搭配相關的閱讀活動讓學童有機會接觸豐富的書籍資源。除此之外,教師可以提供家長英語分級書單,讓孩童和家長於課後有共同話題進行更多的閱讀,進而提升學生閱讀英語課外讀物的動機及頻率。
This study aims to investigate the effects of extensive reading (ER) on reading motivation, reading frequency and reading attitude of the second graders. The participants in this study were 27 second graders in Taoyuan City. They engaged in a 25-minute English extensive reading activity twice a week in the morning for 8 weeks. Through the related extensive reading teaching activities, the students were guided to read English extracurricular books gradually.\nThis study adopted mixed methods, conducting quantitative and qualitative data analysis through questionnaire, reading logs, interviews, and parent’s feedback.\nBased on the data analysis, the findings of this study are as follows: \n1.Extensive reading activity had a positive effect of the students on English reading motivation. The average value of the students to read English extracurricular books had increased.\n2.After the implementation of extensive reading activity, students spent more time on English extracurricular books reading and the frequency of English reading had increased significantly. The frequency of reading in the library had no significant effect.\n3.Extensive reading activity had a slight positive effect of students on the attitude to read English extracurricular books.\n4.All participants are willing to participate in extensive reading activities in the future.\n5.All parents are asure to let their children participate in Extensive reading activities in the future.\nAccording to the results of the study, this research provides suggestions for school administrtions, English teachers and further studies.
