摘要: 利用產業經濟學的「結構、行為與績效」之理論架構,根據2002至2004年台灣上市、上櫃與興櫃製藥廠商的資料,運用DEA評估各家廠商的技術效率,進而使用三階段最小平方法進行聯立估計。與其他研究製藥廠商文獻最大的不同處,在於結合效率值與S-C-P進行探討,過去的文獻僅個別就其一主題進行研究,未探究其關聯性,實有不足之處。此外,本文在變數中加入市場佔有率、研發密集度與利潤率的平方項,探討其非線性關係。技術效率評估值顯示,平均值為71.99%,表示台灣製藥廠商平均而言可以減少28.01%的投入,以增進其資源使用的效率;聯立迴歸估計結果顯示:(一)研發密集度與市場佔有率具有非線性的「倒U字型」關係,而利潤率對市場佔有率存在非線性的「U字型」關係,此外,技術效率、廠商規模均與市場佔有率成正向關係,具外銷通路、生產製劑的廠商市場佔有率均較大;(二)廠商規模、每股盈餘以及淨值比率均對研發密集度有正向效果,而市場佔有率、利潤率均與研發密集度有負向關係,興櫃廠商較上市、櫃廠商願意投入經費於研發活動;(三)市場佔有率對利潤率存在非線性的「U字型」關係,至於每股盈餘與利潤率成正向關係,具外銷通路的廠商利潤率較高,上櫃廠商較上市與興櫃廠商利潤率為高,研發密集度則對利潤率有負向效果。上述結果印證了台灣製藥廠商的市場佔有率、研發密集度與利潤率之間具有顯著的聯立關係。
