This thesis attempts to further contribute to the investigation of the Chile-People Republic of China bilateral relations since the beginning of this new century until now. In recent years the relations between Chile and China have had a considerable progress and development. Relations have diversified into other areas of cooperation not only economic and commercial. In 2004 President Hu Jintao visited Chile, during his visit Chile and the PRC officially established an \"Integral co-operative partnership.\" Its objective was to bring the bilateral relations to a new era of multidimensional development. It is in such a context that this study tries to verify whether it would be possible to consider this new Integral Partnership, starting from the beginning of this century but officially established in 2004 between Chile and PRC, as a cause of the further development and diversification of the bilateral relations. \r\nIn order to do so, I will analyze the development and complementarities of the relations between Chile and PRC since the beginning of this new century and then, I will examine the progress of the cooperation’s in political, economic, cultural and technological areas that have been carried out by both countries since 2000 until nowadays. Finally, I make some suggestions to increase the cooperations and how to take advantage of this new partnership, to make further development of the relations between the two countries.en_US
