Design of an Experimental Platform for Smart Interactive TV

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a platform for the experimental design of interactive TV. On this platform, designers are allowed to simulate broadcasting programs, define control functions, collect user interaction data, and incorporate external application systems. We will use several examples to demonstrate that through this platform one can easily add new functions or set up psychological experiments for validating these new functions.

在本論文中，我們提出一套互動電視的實驗平台，希望可以藉由實驗設計，輔助我們找出使用者在觀看電視時的行為特徵以及主觀上的需求反應。在這個平台上，實驗設計者可以模擬一般有線電視節目的瀏覽方式，定義電視上的控制功能，收集使用者操作資訊，並且可整合其他外部應用程式。我們將使用幾個簡單的例子，說明此電視實驗平台在加入新功能上的方便性；並可搭配心理實驗來驗證這些新的功能。
