dc.description.abstractThis paper mainly describes the trend analysis of international periodicals and literatures which titles as well-known “Information management” at SSCI database from 1957 to 2008. The result appeared that the literatures production within information management title tower onto the vibration period in the last decade. Most of document type is article, constituting 54.27% of the total literature and English is the most popular language (92.21%). The source title on information system does confirm the typical S-shape for the Bradford-Zipf plot. The distribution of author productivity is also followed by Lotka’s Law. USA, England, and Canada; this three countries tops the contributing on information management literature which published 44.16%, 15.31%, and 4.27%, respectively. The applications of information management mainly follow by research aspects which in consisting of information science and library science; computer science, information systems; management, operations research and management science; and business. The literatures of information management were usually generated by multiple authors.en_US
