摘要: The article discusses the notion of bridging the civilizations in pre-War Japan, which shares an ontological assumption that leads to the understanding of civilization politics. It explores the connection of Japanese mind, notions of connecting civilizations, Manchukuo, and China to the Western imperialism in Asia. Moreover, the reason behind the search for transcendence which resulted from a retrospective discourse is also mentioned.
