民國46年設立，民國62年奉准創設國內第一所國貿碩士班研究所，民國82年成立博士班研究所。民國83年，依循教育部的政策將國貿系以及國貿所合而為一，民國96年更名為國際經營與貿易學系。

In 1973 the Department was expanded with the first Master's Program of International Business in Taiwan, the Doctoral Program in 1993, and the On-job Training Graduate Program in 1999.
