The article presents an analysis on the reliability of proposed deadlock prevention and deadlock avoidance policy for a class of Petri nets. The general pattern of deadlocks are frequently observed in flexible manufacturing system (FMS). It is argued that the properties and function for controlling minimal siphons for Petri nets are effective.-
