dc.description.abstractAn essay is presented on machismo aesthetics of the male modernists. It explores the development of the two novels titled \"Heart of Darkness\" and \"Chance\" by the late Polish-British writer Joseph Conrad with his response to contemporary literary tropes from the two novels \"Angel in the House\" to the \"New Woman.\" It also offers concept of modernist arts and literature associated with feminism.-
