dc.description.abstract本研究探討貪污發生的原因。在本研究中,貪污被概括性地定義為「為了私人利益而濫用公權力」的行為,並且透過人們對於該行為在一國家中發生頻率的感受和印象加以衡量。本研究假定貪污與否來自於一個社會中政治經濟的制度結構及其文化,在這個假定下,透過2004到2006連續三個年度91個國家共273個個案的「定群追蹤資料」之實證分析發現,在其他條件不變的情況下:(1)國家權力對於私經濟的介入程度愈高,貪污的程度愈高。(2)與採「開放名單比例代表制」的國家相較,採取「封閉名單比例代表制」為選舉制度的國家貪污程度較低。(3)融入新教文化程度愈低的國家,貪污的程度愈高。(4)經濟發展程度愈低的國家,貪污的程度愈高。(5)政治制度民主的程度對於當下的貪污程度並沒有顯著的影響;然而,相對於其他國家而言,有持續穩定(五十年以上)民主經驗的國家,貪污的程度顯著較低。zh_TW
