Abstract: 國際關係的教學始於1919年,90年以來,國際政治變成了國際關係,再變成了世界政治或全球化的國際關係,學科的成長十分快速。而國立政治大學外交學系正好成立八十週年,為紀念這兩個有學術意義的週年慶,本文就以1962年孔恩(Thomas Kuhn)所提出的典範(paradigm)這個概念來說明和分析國際關係學科的演變。經由這些典範的分析,我們可以很清楚的看出國際關係的科學基礎還是需要再強化,它處理實際外交問題的能力也一樣要強化。和其他社會科學一樣,國際關係不應只有學術研究,不去面對和解決人類面臨的各項問題,它的未來發展不會有太大的遠景。
The teaching of international relations started in 1919. Since then, the discipline has changed from international politics to international relations, and, furthermore, to global politics or globalized international relations. This article is dedicated to the ninety years anniversary of international relations and the eighty years anniversary of the Department of Diplomacy at National Cheng-chi University. It uses Thomas Kuhn’s concept of paradigm to explain and analyze the development and changes of international relations.
