| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | Borrowing words from English is one of the most distinctive characteristics of the modern Russian language. Comparative study of the definitions on English and Russian dictionaries was been used to comprehend the unique features of intensional meaning of English loanwords in Russian. This thesis focuses on homophones, the expansion and reduction of meanings, and the usage of English loanwords in Russian, to reveal how novel objects and concepts been interpreted by Russian people, and the evolution of semantics as well as the racial mental features associated with English loanwords of Russian. | |
