Using the trait activation theory (TAT) as the foundation, this study examined the relationship between two types of workaholism traits, work enjoyment and drive, and employee voice. Furthermore, the moderating roles of employee work moods in the relationship between workaholism and voice were also examined. Using survey data collected form 193 supervisor-subordinate dyads from various industries, multiple regression was used for hypothesis testing. Results indicated that work enjoyment was positively related to both promotive voice and prohibitive voice whereas drive was not related to promotive voice or prohibitive voice. Furthermore, negative moods moderated the relationship between work enjoyment and prohibitive.
