摘要 長久以來,圖書館服務是以提供資訊為主要職責。尤其隨著網際網路的普遍應用,以及各式電子資源的產生與散佈,善用各項資訊科技加速與擴大資訊的取得,就益發顯得重要。資訊科技一直是影響圖書館資訊服務發展的一項重要指標,本文試從中央研究院計算中心的歷史發展為研究基礎,從中析出與圖書館資訊服務相關的重要事項加以探討,作為研究圖書館服務應有的策略管理。本文建議圖書館服務應採取計畫管理方式為發展策略,以認清趨勢的發展方向與實質內涵、確立可行的願景、擘劃主動式的策略,及注重實質的效應與潛藏的契機,進而分析內外環境的現況,再以圖書館擅長的領域為重點,發展出具有專業特色的資訊服務。
Information service has been one of major goals for library. Whilst the wide use of Internet and distribution of electronic resources, it becomes an important issue for library to take advantage of information technologies to information service domain. The paper is a case study of Computing Centre in Academia Sinica by taking a historical review research methodology to offer suggestive directions for library information services. First this paper suggests that library should get a real understanding about IT trends and contents, identify practical objectives, plan proactive strategy, as well as notice the real effects and potential opportunities that IT brings out. Then to develop unique information services based on professional expertise and skills after analyzing the inside and outside situation that library could face and control.
