摘要 Every child is precious to their parents, even more so in developing and developed countries where birth rate is declining year to year. As our society becomes more stable and quality of life continue to improve, people start to pay more attention to what our children are eating or wearing on their skins. Also, the internet has created a world where fashion statement from a child of a famous US celebrity can quickly be replicated on the other side of the world in day.

This children`s apparel business plan details how Babywawa will offer parents who have children from the age of 0-8 an option to purchase high quality, unique design and non-toxic organic cotton clothing that were not available locally before.

Starting from Taipei, whereas society also due to economic concerns, many young adults are afraid unable to support their children financially or be able to provide a good environment for them to grow up in. This result led to many young couples not willing to get marry or have children. Taiwan is now considered as one of the lowest birth rate country in the world. Which impacted volume sales of children clothing, however, although volume relatively trending down but families are willing to spend more money on safe, natural and premium design baby apparel for their one and only baby boy or girl.

Similar to menswear and womenswear, international brand (GAP, NIKE and Adidas etc..) were among the strongest performers in childrenswear in 2018. Domestic brand such as Les Enphants and Love world, are losing ground due to foreign competition and lack of fashionable design.

To improve local branding, quality is the key thing that is considered when it comes to purchasing baby apparel, especially for infants. As the quality of the baby and toddler wear can impact the infant’s health and comfort. With that in mind, aiming and understanding parent’s concern and desire uniqueness in their children outfits, the co-owners Adam and his wife Emma believe there is a big opportunity in growth market while maintaining a profitable gross margin on sales.
