dc.description.abstract (摘要) | The Internet of Things (IoT) has been deployed in many platforms and fields worldwide. Each kind of equipment is designed for a specific purpose, and it is necessary to update the firmware to eliminate errors and enhance functions continuously in its lifetime. The firmware over-the-air (FOTA) update mechanism can speed up the update speed and reduce the recovery cost of rework and installation. In addition, FOTA can effectively improve update efficiency, allowing developers to cope with frequent changes in version deployment without too much effort. This paper proposes a new FOTA update mechanism based on the RPL (Routing Protocol for LLNs) network discovery and establishment, providing fast firmware updates under the low-power mesh protocol. Experimental results show that the proposed FOTA firmware update mechanism has the advantages of fast update and easy transplantation under the MESH network. | |
