| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | 台灣民眾的統獨態度過去雖然已有諸多研究與分析，但我認為至少有兩點是值得更深入探討的： 第一、從測量的層面來看，儘管學界發展出諸多不同類型的測量方式，但彼此間的比較及對話有限， 尤其缺乏從長期、時間序列的觀點來比較各種測量的變遷是否存有異同。換言之，如果不同的測量方 式測量到「統獨態度」的不同面向，則不但長時期的走向會有所差異，且形成特定態度的原因亦應有 所不同。第二、統獨議題其實具有高度政策意涵，不同政黨執政時都有特定的兩岸政策。若從態度變 遷及民主回應性（democratic responsiveness）的角度來看，則民眾「統獨態度」的轉變自然應該和政 府兩岸政策有相對應的關係。不過，過去的研究鮮少從「政策-民意」這種對應觀點來分析統獨態度 的變遷，更遑論深入探討是否不同類型的民眾，其統獨態度對於兩岸政策的反應有所差異。本研究將 使用數個既有的調查資料庫（包括面訪及電訪資料），透過比較長期、不同的統獨態度測量結果，探 討上述兩項研究課題。 | |
| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | Taiwanese attitudes toward Independence-unification issues have been studied extensively over decades. Yet, past studies have failed to recognize two aspects that deserve more attentions and discussions: first, from a viewpoint of measurement, although scholars have developed various ways to measure public opinion toward independence-unification issues, they have not made enough efforts to compare different measures. If we cannot specify the differences among measures, we may fail to fully interpret the meaning of any longitudinal trend of specific measure. Second, Taiwan’s independence-unification issues have numerous policy implications on cross-Strait relations. There should be certain types of linkages between policy and public opinion particularly on such salient issue. Yet, past studies have rarely addressed possible mechanisms on the “policy-opinion” linkage, if any. This study tends to fill the gap by using various longitudinal survey data (including face-to-face survey and telephone survey datasets) to address the above two concerns. | |
