| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | 在隨機選擇模型（如一般強化學習和啟發式切換模式）中，選擇強度不僅做為描述個體選擇模式差異的參數，更是描述總體動態差異的關鍵參數。該參數在解釋人們為何選擇模仿或創新、勘探或開採，個人學習或社會學習時，更顯重要。然而，有關此參數的知識仍相當有限。該參數值在理論和模擬模型中，皆為特設，且大部份只限於臆想實驗。早期計量經濟學假設該參數值在所有人中皆為同質，但近年心理學和神經科學的研究都指出，該參數在受測者間有很大的差異性。目前尚無一個系統性研究，使用嚴格的對照實驗，來了解該參數的行為和神經基礎及其異質性的內涵。本整合型計畫之目的，即在提供此系統性之研究。 | |
| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | In major stochastic choice models – such as generalized reinforcement learning and heuristic switching models – the Intensity of Choice (IoC) is a key parameter that not only can describe individual differences in choice pattern but more importantly the differences in aggregate dynamics. Its significance can further be seen in explaining choice over imitation or innovation, exploration or exploitation, and individual learning or social learning. However, our understanding of this parameter is very limited. In theoretical or simulation models, the value of this parameter was set in an ad hoc manner mainly for thought experiments. Earlier econometric studies assume that it is homogeneous among all agents, while recent studies from psychology and neuroscience indicate that this parameter can vary quite substantially among subjects. What is lacking is a systematic investigation that uses tightly controlled experiments to understand the behavioral and neural foundation of this parameter and its heterogeneity. This systematic investigation is what we aim to do in this integrated research project. | |
