題名 The Politics of Japan`s Rice Trade 作者 郭承天;Takuya Yanagisawa
Cheng-Tian Kuo貢獻者 政治系 日期 1992 上傳時間 29-七月-2014 16:57:43 (UTC+8) 摘要 This article analyzes both the domestic and international political factors that affect Japan’s rice trade policy. Based on the analysis, this article suggests that although Japan will open its rice market soon, the rice trade liberalization is likely to proceed very slowly and will be accompanied by a temporary surge of nontariff barriers. Domestically, a national coalition of producers, distributors, nationalists, politicians, bureaucrats, environmentalists, and consumers will delay and distort any rice trade liberalization program. Internationally, the pressure to further reduce rice trade barriers will decline due to the controversy over agricultural trade liberalization in the GATT negotiation, the lack of significant political pressure by politicians and interest groups within the United States, and Japan’s record of trade liberalization, especially in agricultural trade. 關聯 Journal of Northeast Asian Studies, 11(4), 19-39 資料類型 article dc.contributor 政治系 en_US dc.creator (作者) 郭承天;Takuya Yanagisawa zh_TW dc.creator (作者) Cheng-Tian Kuo en_US dc.date (日期) 1992 en_US dc.date.accessioned 29-七月-2014 16:57:43 (UTC+8) - dc.date.available 29-七月-2014 16:57:43 (UTC+8) - dc.date.issued (上傳時間) 29-七月-2014 16:57:43 (UTC+8) - dc.identifier.uri (URI) https://ah.lib.nccu.edu.tw/item?item_id=76302 - dc.description.abstract (摘要) This article analyzes both the domestic and international political factors that affect Japan’s rice trade policy.
