| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | Summarizes five articles in this volume criticizing political scientist Samuel Huntington`s concept of the "clash of civilizations," an analytical model for understanding post-Cold War international relations that Huntington popularized in his publications during 1993-96. Huntington`s paradigm failed to adequately address cooperative aspects of global politics, used the concept of "civilizations" as an inappropriate independent variable, and was imprecise in the definition of the term. | - |
