摘要: 再生醫療(Regenerative Medicine)是一個醫學領域,它運用生物學、工程學和材料科學等跨學科的方法和技術,旨在恢復、替代或增強受損或缺失的組織和器官的功能。再生醫療的目標是利用細胞治療、組織工程、生物材料、生物活性因子等方法,促進身體自身的再生能力,以實現組織和器官的自我修復或替代。\n再生醫療的應用範圍非常廣泛,涵蓋了傷口癒合、組織再生、器官移植、心臟血管疾病治療、神經系統疾病治療等領域。它代表了一種革命性的醫學方法,有望改變傳統醫學對於組織損傷和器官功能缺失的治療方式,並提供更有效和持久的治療選擇。\n本研究從再生醫療的基本定義、特性與範疇入手,全面介紹了再生醫療全球的發展歷程,包括關鍵技術與應用的里程碑;然後回到台灣再生醫療的市場與發展,相關生技醫療企業面臨的挑戰與困難以及相關立法的進展;最後以三顧公司為例,研究探討電子公司轉型為再生醫療公司的艱難旅程,如何在艱難的產業環境下求生存求發展?是否可以作為其他公司在本產業發展的借鏡?
Regenerative Medicine (再生醫療) is a medical field that utilizes interdisciplinary approaches and technologies such as biology, engineering, and materials science to restore, replace, or enhance the function of damaged or missing tissues and organs. The goal of regenerative medicine is to harness the body`s own regenerative capabilities through methods such as cell therapy, tissue engineering, biomaterials, and bioactive factors to achieve self-repair or replacement of tissues and organs.\n\nThe applications of regenerative medicine are wide-ranging and include wound healing, tissue regeneration, organ transplantation, treatment of cardiovascular diseases, and neurological disorders, among others. It represents a revolutionary approach to medicine that has the potential to transform traditional treatments for tissue damage and organ dysfunction, providing more effective and long-lasting therapeutic options.\n\nThis study provides a comprehensive overview of the global development of regenerative medicine, starting with its basic definition, characteristics, and scope. It highlights key milestones in the development of critical technologies and applications. The study then focuses on the market and development of regenerative medicine in Taiwan, as well as the progress in related legislation. Finally, using the case of MetaTech Corporation as an example, the study examines the challenging journey of an electronics company transitioning into a regenerative medicine company. How to survive and develop in a difficult industrial environment? Can it be served as a valuable reference for other companies seeking to enter this industry?
