dc.description.abstract	台灣地區的工業與經濟發展，所產生的都市化使人口向都市集中再向外擴展形成都會區。這改變了人口在地區間的分配。本文的主要目的在於了解都會區與非都會區間或中心都市與衛星城鎮間人口、社會及經濟特徵分配的差異，並以1980年人口普查資料來分析與描述。從資料發現，社會及經濟特徵如性別、年齡、婚姻、教育與職業等在地區間分配有顯著差異，並形成一種社會經濟地位等級。	-
