從資訊素養觀點談檔案應用服務之推廣

Abstract

資訊素養是許多資訊能力之集合，包括確認、找尋、評估及有效使用資訊等能力。提升全民之檔案素養，方可有效促進檔案之應用；而推廣檔案應用服務，係為提升全民檔案素養之重要關鍵，二者相輔相成。本文即試從資訊素養的觀點，探討檔案素養的意涵、檔案人員應具備的資訊素養與重要性、影響檔案應用的因素，以及針對推廣檔案應用服務之途徑提出幾點建議。

Information literacy includes a set of abilities requiring individuals to recognize, locate, evaluate, and use effectively the needed information. The enhancement of the general user’s information competence will promote an efficient application of archives, and vice versa. This article aims to discuss the promotion of archives services from the viewpoint of information literacy. First, the meanings and implications represented by information literacy and archives literacy will be explicated. Second, this article proposes that archivists should possess adequate abilities in applying information and archives and understand the importance involved in this field of knowledge. Next, this discussion will examine factors that affect the access to and the use of archives. Last, several suggestions for promoting archives services will be presented.
