Public libraries, the basal organizations of reading for community people, are essential to people’s reading life. Public libraries should take the responsibility to encourage people to read and aim to create a learning society. To achieve this, it depends on public librarians’ abilities to establish high-quality and effective reading programs. In this article, the roles of the public librarians in promoting reading activities are worthy to be examined. | |
