| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | This paper reviews transformation theories and practices of library education at home and abroad in order to show the necessity and the force of transformation in Chinese library education. The goal of transformation should be focused on supporting professional competence. As the trend of transformation goes along with the development of the digital age, library education should adhere to the information-centered philosophy, the user-oriented syllabus, and problem-oriented teaching methods. In addition, library education should also establish its academic degree programs with interdisciplinary orientation and form a system of personnel training model for the cultivation of interdisciplinary professionals and for the requirement of life-long learning. | - |
