| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | 關於荀子思想的來源，學者們大致同意荀子綜合了前人的思想，但對於荀子的綜合性思想的具體成份的根源卻眾說紛紜，莫衷一是。在本文中，我將從新的角度來討論荀子思想來源的問題。我認為，荀子許多重要的思想貢獻，主要是從《左傳》中再發現與春秋卿大夫概念相關的思想，並將之與戰國時期的思想發展融合在一起，進而調整之，使其能適應於戰國晚期的政治及社會局勢。這也說明了荀子如何能於戰國政治思想界取得突破性的發展。 | |
| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | While scholars commonly agree that Xunzi had synthesized the ideas of his predecessors, they tend to disagree with regard to the origins of the concrete elements of his intellectual synthesis. In the present paper I attempt to add another dimension to the ongoing discussion of the origins of Xunzi`s ideas. I shall advocate the view that one of the major peculiarities of Xunzi`s thought is his rediscovery of the ideas of Chunqiu aristocrats, as presented primarily in the Zuo zhuan (左傳), and his blending these ideas with Zhanguo intellectual developments to cope with the late Zhanguo sociopolitical situation. These achievements, allowed Xunzi to effect intellectual breakthroughs in several major aspects of Zhanguo political thought. | |
