| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | Since he went into office, Putin has actively visited the Asia-Pacific countries in an attempt to revitalize Russia`s relations with them through multi-lateral mechanisms and bilateral talks and to increase Russia`s participation in the Asia-Pacific affairs. This was aimed at showing Russia`s determination to heighten her relations with the Asia-Pacific countries and to increase her influence in the region. The Putin administration`s activities in this region further gave play to Yeltsin`s Eastward policy in his latter half years in office. This paper will study the background and goal of Putin`s policy toward the Asia-Pacific as well as analyze its prospect through its implementation. | - |
