Philosophical thinking usually has to be expressed by means of languages. Languages themselves are situated in cultural contexts. We cannot therefore think without cultural influences. However, philosophical thinking usually has universal claim and should be valid in every culture. Its consequences should be borderless. But it cannot get rid of its cultural influences and linguistic implications. Is there a dilemma between philosophy, culture and language? From the viewpoint of “intercultural philosophy,” can this problem be solved? Is there any solution at all? Furthermore, what is the relation between philosophy and cultural identity?
