摘要 當前全球文明之危機迫使人類廣泛地反思現代文明中具有支配性意義的世界觀與人類圖像,其結果帶來既豐富又有創發性的論述。本文主張當代美感素養至少應包含「存在美學」、「公民美學」與「生態美學」三大範疇,其中生態美學也同時就是靈性美學。著名學者Fritjov Capra曾清楚地表達﹕「生態與靈性在本質上互相連結,因為生態意識之究極乃是靈性意識」,本文認為「靈性生態學」的論述具有統整性與創發性意義,可以為完整之美感教育提供具有更成熟之理論基礎。靈性生態學論述的意義最終期待可以回答Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee所提的一個關鍵性問題﹕「人類如何能活出地球始終教導我們的寬宏大量(慈悲喜捨)?」
This essay proposes that a comprehensive theory about the contemporary aesthetic literacy should include three categories, i.e. the aesthetics of Dasein, the civil aesthetics and the ecological aesthetics. And the ecological aesthetics would be the spiritual aesthetics at the same time. This proposition should be constructed based on the reflection on the dominant modern worldview and human picture. According to Fritjov Capra, "Ecology and spirituality are fundamentally connected, because deep ecological awareness is, ultimately, spiritual awareness." And this article proposes that the spiritual ecology could be the solid fundament for the modern education of aesthetic literacy. The ultimate purpose of the spiritual ecology is to answer the key question issued by Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee, "How can we live the generosity that the Earth continues to teach us?"
