摘要 近年來隨著資訊視覺化技術的發展,視覺化編輯與瀏覽的技術也逐漸地被應用在語意網資訊視覺編輯與瀏覽的環境上。目前這些語意網視覺編輯環境的設計主要是分別針對資源語意網描述架構(RDF)與主題地圖(Topic Maps),各自獨立開發設計。隨著語意網發展與整合的需求,過往已有相關的研究提出,以整合此兩種不同的語意網描述標準。然而,至今卻仍未有適當視覺化環境,來幫助使用者能更有效率且直覺地描述這些語意的資源。在本篇論文中,我們利用整合主題性視覺化元件的設計與轉換翻譯語法規則的方式,提出一個具有主題性描述的互動式語意網整合視覺編輯環境XRVAT (XTM-to-RDF Visualization Authoring Tool)。透過XRVAT整合式語意網視覺化編輯環境,使用者不但能直覺地編輯與瀏覽Topic Maps與RDF語意網資源,並且能讓語意網資源更加廣泛地應用在不同的環境下。
Since the machine-understandable descriptions for the Semantic Web are not intuitive for people to read and edit, information visualization techniques are popularly applied to the Semantic Web to facilitate the data presentation and manipulation. However, past visualization authoring tools only target on either the RDF framework or the Topic Maps framework, and thus the integration between RDF and Topic Maps framework may require much effort. As the integration between diverse Semantic Web frameworks is in increasing need, an appropriate visual authoring environment that can help users efficiently manipulate the integrated resources is important. In this paper, we have presented an XTM-to-RDF Visualization Authoring Tool (XRVAT) to help users edit the Topic Maps-based resources with visual assistance and allow users to incorporate topic features from Topic Maps into RDF. With such a Topic Maps-based visual authoring environment, users can intuitively generate both XML Topic Maps and RDF Topic Maps (RTM) data for further integration need.
