華人家庭動態資料日期 2018 上傳時間 24-Jul-2018 11:01:59 (UTC+8) 摘要 本研究利用「華人家庭動態資料庫（Panel Study of Family Dynamics, PSFD）」中的「長期追蹤資料」，來量化成年子女對父母及配偶父母的財務支持意願及金額的 影響因素。 研究發現，台灣雖然歷經許多的社會變遷，但早期「養兒防老」的觀念仍然存續著。而女性在家中的地位也不再像過去一樣劣勢，在奉養自身父母的機率上，女性的意願是高於男性的，說明早期僅由男性來承擔的奉養觀念不再如此強烈，女兒亦願意承擔起奉養的責任，但兒子因為受到傳統孝道思維的限制，在財務支持的金額上仍多於女兒。而奉養配偶父母方面，女性表現出的支持金額也顯著多於男性。另外當子女整體擁有的資源越多在奉養自身父母或配偶父母上都越有機會及能力給予支持。
This study uses the "Panel Study of Family Dynamics (PSFD)" to empirically investigate the factors influencing the decision of adult children financially supporting parents and parents-in-law. The probability of daughter financially supporting parents is higher than son. It means that fostering parents is no longer just son’s responsibility and obligation. However, son still support more amount of money than daughter.
