| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | This paper emphasized the importance of developing collaborative competencies of public officials in disaster management. By reviewing literatures about collaborative competencies and disaster management trainings, this paper studied and discussed the current training system in Taiwan for strengthening collaborative competencies of public officials in disaster management. Several in-depth interviews were conducted for further understanding the design and weaknesses of Taiwan disaster management training system. This research suggested that Taiwan government should build systematic and interdisciplinary training programs based on all-hazard approach to advance knowledge and skills of public officials in disaster management. Collaborative competencies should be included and viewed as a critical topic in current disaster management training programs. | en_US |
